A remarkable donation from young Harry

20 July 2026

Three food donors and food bank coordinator, Dorothy tanding behind a table full of food donations.

Last Tuesday, were delighted to welcome Harry, his mum, Hayley and Debby to Grantham Foodbank, where they delivered an incredible donation of food and toiletries.

Harry, who has cerebral palsy, was determined to help local families in need and, together with his mum Hayley, organised a fundraising event that raised an amazing £300 to help buy essential and much-needed items for the food bank.

Their thoughtful shop included family favourites such as cereals, porridge, biscuits and crackers, alongside pasta, sauces, noodles, fruit squash and ice pops to help families during the recent hot weather.

They also donated essential toiletries, including toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Every item was carefully chosen with families, particularly those with younger children, in mind.

Harry is incredibly proud to be able to give back to his local community and we are incredibly grateful for Harry’s generosity and community spirit – thank you Harry.

If you’d like to make a large food donation, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch or find out more here.
